FOUNDER & CEO

I’ve spent most of my career trying to understand how living organisms turn CO₂ into stone. I have a PhD in biomineralization, which led me deep into carbonate chemistry, climate cycles, and the ways biology and geology interact. I loved doing research, but I also saw how difficult it could be to secure funding and turn scientific ideas into something with a life beyond academia. That pushed me towards entrepreneurship, where I could focus on building things and putting the science into practice. I co-founded AFEN, helping bring carbon dioxide removal onto the policy agenda in France, before joining Marble as a founder-in-residence and securing support to launch Bloomineral.

At Bloomineral, I lead the company and work across strategy, partnerships, and fundraising. I spend a lot of my time figuring out how to take a scientific concept and turn it into a technology and company that can actually scale. Ultimately, I want to prove that biomineralization can become a scalable industrial pathway for permanent CO₂ storage.

Outside of work, I like making things and learning new skills, and I have a habit of picking up random hobbies and trying to master them. One of those is pastel art, and some of my work has been exhibited at the Natural History Museum in Paris and the University of Lausanne as part of an exhibition on stromatolites.

HEAD OF SCIENCE

I was born in Saint-Malo, a city in Brittany surrounded by the sea and shaped by some of the largest tides in Europe. Growing up so close to the ocean surely played a part in my fascination with it. I went on to become a geochemist, specialising in marine biogeochemistry and paleoceanography, studying how carbon and nutrients cycle through the ocean and how these processes have changed over Earth’s history.

At Bloomineral, I lead the science behind our technology. My work is highly multidisciplinary, coordinating the interplay between geochemistry, marine biology, and engineering. I spend my time exploring how we can use seawater chemistry and biomineralization to capture CO₂, while also growing calcifying macroalgae, designing experiments and prototypes, and figuring out how to measure and account for the carbon we remove.

Outside the lab, I still tend to gravitate towards the sea and the outdoors. I love travelling and hiking, and I’ve started diving and exploring new places, ideally somewhere involving a mountain, a volcano, or an ocean. I’m naturally curious and can get disproportionately excited about rocks, geography, strange landscapes, and understanding why things work the way they do.

COMMERCIAL LEAD

I’m French and moved to New York at 14, setting me on a fairly international path. I studied at McGill University in Canada before working at Deepki in Madrid, where I first became interested in decarbonizing the built environment. I later completed an MSc in Climate Change, Management and Finance at Imperial College London, where I truly understood that I wanted to work on industrial innovation tackling hard-to-abate emissions. Along the way, I worked at Reaforma on cement decarbonization and at Axeleo GreenTech Industry, investing in industrial deeptech companies.

At Bloomineral, I lead our commercial development, identifying applications where our minerals could fit and turning those discussions into meaningful commercial partnerships. My role is ultimately about ensuring that the company’s science evolves into real markets and meaningful impact, while also supporting fundraising. I love talking to R&D teams at large industrial companies trying to decarbonize, discovering application number 10,543 for our minerals (and fibers), and having the freedom to decide amongst the variety of work I pursue.

Outside of work, I love cooking and hosting big dinner parties, discovering niche Japanese films, playing Spikeball with friends in La Villette, or discussing random football facts over an IPA with a view of the canal.

OPERATIONS & COMMUNICATIONS

I was born in Lebanon to French and New Zealander parents, and grew up speaking English, French, and Arabic (often within the same sentence). I studied International Development at King’s College London before completing an MSc in Sustainability and Social Innovation at HEC Paris, where I worked on a range of projects around sustainability, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

At Bloomineral, I work across operations and communications, helping turn a groundbreaking technology into a company ready to scale. I support the systems and processes that keep things moving, from finance and administration to recruitment and internal operations, while also working on our communication efforts and other strategic projects. I particularly enjoy the variety of early-stage work and figuring out how to make things simpler as we grow.

Outside of work, I'm happiest outdoors. I love being in nature, whether in the mountains or by the coast, and always enjoy doing something active. I’m naturally curious, and probably spend too much time going down unnecessary Wikipedia rabbit holes.

MATERIALS SCIENTIST

I was born and raised in Vietnam. My passion for chemistry started when I was 13, leading me to pursue it as my major at the VNU University of Science. I later earned a Master’s degree in Chemistry and Physics through an Erasmus program across France, Spain, and Austria, and subsequently completed my Ph.D. in Materials Science at ICMPE in France.

Currently, I work as a Materials Scientist at Bloomineral. Moving to Bloomineral marks a significant milestone in my career transition from academia to industry, and I find it to be the perfect environment for growth. In my current role, I focus on preparing products for clients, optimizing production processes and quality, and analyzing products to ensure we deliver the highest standards.

Beyond my professional life, I am an active person who loves sports, whether it’s playing them or watching them. I usually spend my free time going to the gym, climbing, and cycling. As a big dog lover, I also enjoy participating in outdoor activities with my dog on weekends whenever the weather is good.

BIOLOGIST

I am a Portuguese Molecular Plant Biologist who has lived in Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, and France. During my bachelor’s, I started working in a Molecular Plant laboratory, where my fascination with plants grew even further. I then obtained a master’s in Genetic and Molecular Plant Sciences from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences in Uppsala and a PhD in Life Sciences at the University of Geneva. During my fundamental research studies, I worked with different organisms and craved opportunities to use my knowledge as a plant and molecular biologist in more direct approaches connected to sustainability and climate science.

In July 2026, I joined Bloomineral as a Biologist, where I apply my scientific experience and ideas to tangible technologies and processes. I focus on the study and domestication of our Bloomies and their environment, while also working on how it all affects our product. At work, I can not only work with an organism that truly fascinates me and explore its applications, but also learn immensely from a truly multidisciplinary team.

When I’m not working, you’ll most likely find me reading a book or talking about books. Besides that, I also love taking walks in nature or playing games with my close ones.

GEOCHEMIST & MRV SPECIALIST

Originally from the US East Coast, I am a geochemist and volcanologist by training. My background in carbonate chemistry, central to Bloomineral’s process, began with undergraduate research at Wesleyan University on CO₂ cycling in volcanic lakes. I then spent three years at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance modeling natural catastrophe risk before earning my PhD at the University of St Andrews, where I developed methods to analyze particles in polar ice cores, with a focus on measurement quality and uncertainty.

At Bloomineral, I lead the development of our monitoring, reporting, and verification program, working at the intersection of scientific research, carbon accounting, and communication. My responsibilities include translating our biogeochemical process into a comprehensive and auditable calculation of net CO₂ removed, while optimizing the geochemical components of our system and ensuring our methodology provides robust evidence for independent review and verification.

Outside of work, I most enjoy being in aquatic environments, whether in a pool or the ocean. When water is not accessible, I’m still happy to pursue terrestrial activities such as hiking and climbing. If there is a mountain nearby, I am invariably drawn to reach its summit.
