We remove CO2 from the atmosphere and store it in valuable biominerals

Bloomineral has developed a breakthrough biomineralization process that removes CO₂ from the atmosphere and permanently stores it in ultra-pure, ultra-fine calcium carbonates.

The bio-process is completely circular, leverages abundant alkalines wastes and operates at ambient pressure and temperature.

These carbon-negative, drop-in, norm-compliant minerals replace conventionally mined limestone and mitigate emissions across cosmetics, feed, PCC (paper, plastics, paints, water treatment) and cement.

  • More than 1000 years

Sequestration of CO2 as minerals has a permanence of more than 1000 years! Million-year-old biominerals in pristine conditions are trapped in sediments all around the globe to attest to this.

    Mitigation AND Removal

IPCC projections are clear: we must reduce our CO2 emissions AND scale up permanent CO2 removal from the atmosphere, at least 5Gt in 2050, to remain well below 2°C of warming.

  • We grow our mineralizing organisms in ideal conditions for scale up:

    Open systems

We don’t need costly closed photobioreactors

    Seawater

We use the powers of marine organisms

    Low nutrients

Our nutrients requirements are 5 times lower than microalgae requirements

  • Our energy comes from photosynthesis, our feedstock is industrial wastes generated in + 100 of million tons yearly
